A strong spirit ensures that your inner most being is in-line with your outer thoughts and actions. At times, toxic attitudes, behaviors, and cultural influences that you allow into your life put your soul in danger. It’s hard to avoid such toxins, but you don’t have to be contaminated by them. Below are a few ways to detoxify your soul as you set out on your Detox journey.

  • Indulge in the power of Daily Affirmations. An affirmation is really anything you say or think which normally tends to be negative and doesn’t create good experiences for us. We have to retrain our thinking and speaking into positive patterns if we want to change our lives. Good examples are “I am in control. I will nourish my body with healthy foods. I can accomplish anything I set my mind to!”
  • Try something new. Take a Zumba class. Volunteer at a soup kitchen. Start reading self-help books. Trying something new that opens up your mind to new experiences and encourages you to grow mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
  • Surround yourself with like-minded people. Family, friends, or acquaintances who will encourage, support and inspire you to continue your journey!
  • Find your inspiration. It can be a celebrity who achieved a big accomplishment or a family member or friend who succeeded in an area of their lives that they were struggling with. It can come in the form of a sign or saying that resonates with you. Once you find it, you can create a vision board, write it down, or just remember it and let it inspire you daily so that you can push through the everyday “stuff” to reach your goals.
